• About VT Supercharger. How does it work? 

VT supercharger compresses air and forces it into the intake . Driven by a belt connected to the crank, the supercharger pushes more oxygen into the engine, resulting in a bigger power boost.

• What is the difference between supercharging and turbocharging?

Unlike a turbocharger (which is powered by exhaust gases), a supercharger is belt-driven directly by the engine’s crankshaft. Because it’s mechanically driven, boost is available instantly as engine RPM rises – there’s no turbo lag. The supercharger’s rotors spin rapidly to compress intake air on the fly. Supercharger also incorporate an intercooler(water cooling) to cool the compressed air for better efficiency and performance. The result is more horsepower, immediate throttle response, and stronger acceleration whenever you hit the throttle. VT superchargers are designed to deliver this power in a smooth, OEM-quality manner, thanks to decades of engineering refinement.

• Will installing a supercharger affect the engine?

The VT supercharger operates at low boost pressure—typically set between 5 and 7 psi (0.4–0.5 bar)—while retaining the engine's stock internal components. Combined with proven ECU tuning and an excellent water-cooling system, the engine can reliably run for hundreds of thousands of kilometers with proper maintenance.
That durability is built directly into VT supercharger kits, which are engineered to strict OEM standards and thoroughly tested to operate safely within your engine's precise tolerances. professionally designed supercharger system will not inherently hurt your vehicle's reliability. 
The blower is not going to put out enough power to destroy the OEM parts​. In normal driving, the supercharger often isn’t producing boost (for example, cruising or idle, it bypasses airflow), so the engine isn’t under constant stress. When you do floor it, the tune adds fuel to keep things safe and the components (pistons, etc.) are operating within their design limits.
Of course, any time you make more power, you are using more of the engine’s potential. Good maintenance is key: use quality oil, proper octane fuel (most supercharged setups require premium fuel to prevent detonation). 
Many VT owners daily drive their supercharged vehicles trouble-free. As long as you follow the guidance, a supercharged engine can be just as dependable as stock –more power more fun!

• How much horsepower does VT add?

One of the most exciting things about adding a supercharger is the huge jump in horsepower (and torque). The exact power gain depends on your engine and the boost level, but it’s not unusual to see 35% to 50% more power with one of our supercharger kits! 
Keep in mind, these gains come without internal engine work – it’s the result of simply bolting on the supercharger kit and tuning. Factors like your base engine size, factory power, fuel octane, and supporting mods (exhaust, etc.) will affect the outcome. 
But any VT supercharged setup will deliver a night-and-day difference in performance. You’ll feel a major increase in acceleration and pulling power.

• Is the installation simple?

• Does a supercharger increase fuel consumption?

Not necessarily. Fuel consumption mainly depends on how the additional power is used.
With our supercharger kit, the engine gains significantly more torque and power, especially in the low and mid-range. During normal daily driving and cruising, you don't need to constantly use boost or push the engine hard.
Of course, if you frequently enjoy full-throttle acceleration and high boost, fuel consumption will increase — just like with any performance upgrade.
The key point is: you get more power when you need it, without having to use all of it all the time.

• Does the supercharger kit require regular maintenance?

VT Supercharger Maintenance-Free. VT supercharger is designed for long-term, low-maintenance operation.
The TVS rotor assembly uses a sealed internal lubrication system, so there is no need for regular oil changes or routine lubrication of the supercharger unit during normal use.
With proper installation and normal driving conditions, the supercharger is designed to provide reliable and consistent performance over the long term.
